What the Marrakech Palmeraie is, and what a private tour means here
The Palmeraie is a palm grove of several thousand hectares on the edge of Marrakech, 10 to 15 minutes by car from the Medina and Gueliz. Sandy and red-earth tracks run between the palms, past low walls and a handful of villages. It is flat, it is shaded, and it is quiet, which is most of why people come out here after a few days in the city.

Which one should you book?
Travelling with young children
Book the pony tour if they are all small, or the camel and pony combo if you want a longer outing that never goes faster than a walk. If some of your children are seven or over, the pony and quad combo lets the older ones ride their own quad while the younger ones stay on ponies, at the same time and in the same place.
Couples
The quad and camel combo is the one most couples book. Three hours covers both, the quad half is genuinely fun to drive, and the camel half is where the photographs come from. Sunset is the slot to ask for in spring and autumn.
First time in Marrakech
If you only have room for one thing, take the camel trek. Two hours at walking pace through the palm groves is the version of the Palmeraie people actually remember, and at €19.99 it is the cheapest way in. Add the quad if you have the afternoon.
If you came for the adrenaline
Quad biking on its own, two hours, is the most direct answer. You get a briefing and a helmet, then you ride. Beginners are fine on it, and if you have ridden before, the straighter stretches are yours to use.
