You ride in a short line through the palm groves, on tracks that are mostly flat and mostly shaded. The camels walk. That is the entire speed of the thing, and it is why two hours go by more slowly and more pleasantly than people expect. A handler walks beside the group the whole time.
The Palmeraie away from the main routes
The palm groves outside Marrakech cover thousands of hectares, and the tracks we use are not the ones the coach tours stop on. There is time to get down, stretch, and take photographs without anybody waiting on you.
Families and children
Children ride too, with a parent alongside, or on the same camel when they are small. The camels are used to guests of every age, and the handlers know which animal suits a nervous first-timer. Nobody is asked to keep up with anything.

We do not put separate bookings together into one group. The people on the trek are the people you arrived with, so the stops, the pace and the photographs are yours to decide.

Questions About This Tour
The camels are calm, well-cared-for animals used to guests of all ages, led by experienced local handlers who walk alongside the group the entire time. The pace stays slow and steady throughout, which is part of what makes the trek feel relaxing rather than physically demanding.
About 10 to 15 minutes by car from the Medina or Gueliz. It's close enough that the drive barely eats into your day, which is one of the reasons a Palmeraie excursion works well even if you only have a half-day free.
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and closed-toe shoes work best for all three activities. For quad biking, long trousers are preferable to shorts. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen — the Palmeraie has little shade outside the palm groves themselves, especially around midday.
Cancellations are free. If your plans change, message us on WhatsApp as soon as you know, and we'll cancel or reschedule your booking with no charge. We'd just ask for as much notice as you can give so we can release the time slot for other guests.
