Is a private quad bike tour in Marrakech suitable for beginners?
Yes, and most of our riders are beginners. You get a safety briefing and a few minutes of practice before you set off, so you know how the throttle and the brakes behave before you are moving on a trail. Your guide rides with you and sets the pace. Anyone who has been on a quad before can open up a little on the straighter stretches.
Children can ride from age 7
Children from seven ride their own quad. It is a smaller machine, not a seat behind a parent, and it is theirs to steer. A guide stays with them and leads the whole route, and they wear a helmet. If your child is younger than seven, book the pony tour instead. They will get more out of it.
What a private tour changes
You are not standing around while eleven other people find their helmets. The tour starts when your group is ready, stops when somebody wants a photograph, and runs at whatever speed the least confident rider is happy with. On a shared tour none of that is yours to decide.
Safety and equipment
Helmets are provided and the quads are professionally maintained. Long trousers work better than shorts on the dusty tracks, and closed shoes are worth wearing. Guides stay with the group from the first briefing to the last turn back.

The quad tour is €25.99 per person for two hours of riding. You can add a Moroccan tagine lunch and turn it into a half day of about four hours for €39.99. Cancellations are free.

Yes. Every private tour starts with a safety briefing and hands-on instruction before you set off. Guides ride alongside you and adjust the pace to your comfort level, so first-timers and experienced riders can join the same tour without either feeling rushed or held back.
For quad biking you get a helmet and a full safety briefing before starting; long trousers are recommended and can usually be arranged if you don't have any with you. For camel and pony rides, guides provide a traditional cheich scarf for sun protection and stay with you throughout.
From 7 years old. Children that age ride their own smaller quad rather than sitting behind an adult, a guide stays with them and leads the whole way, and a helmet is provided and worn. Under 7, the pony tour is the one to book instead.
About 10 to 15 minutes by car from the Medina or Gueliz. It's close enough that the drive barely eats into your day, which is one of the reasons a Palmeraie excursion works well even if you only have a half-day free.
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and closed-toe shoes work best for all three activities. For quad biking, long trousers are preferable to shorts. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen — the Palmeraie has little shade outside the palm groves themselves, especially around midday.
Cancellations are free. If your plans change, message us on WhatsApp as soon as you know, and we'll cancel or reschedule your booking with no charge. We'd just ask for as much notice as you can give so we can release the time slot for other guests.
