Is the pony tour suitable for children?
It is designed for them. Each child gets a pony matched to their size, and a handler walks beside them for the whole hour. The route stays on flat, shaded trails in the Palmeraie. Parents walk or ride alongside, so no child is ever out of sight.
First time on a pony
For a lot of children this is the first time they have been on any animal that size, and the handlers are used to that. They lead from the ground, keep the pony to a walk, and give the child as much or as little of the reins as they want. If somebody wants to get off after ten minutes, that is fine too.
What a private tour means with young children
Nothing runs to a timetable set by strangers. If your four year old needs a break, the tour takes a break. If they want another twenty minutes, they can usually have it. That is hard to arrange on a shared booking and easy on a private one.
What to bring
Closed shoes, something with sleeves, and a hat. The palm groves give real shade, but the walk to and from the ponies does not. Sunscreen matters more than people expect, even in spring.

Yes, it's designed specifically for that. Ponies are matched to each child, a handler stays right beside them for the whole ride, and the route sticks to shaded, flat trails in the Palmeraie. Parents ride or walk alongside, so nobody is out of sight.
About 10 to 15 minutes by car from the Medina or Gueliz. It's close enough that the drive barely eats into your day, which is one of the reasons a Palmeraie excursion works well even if you only have a half-day free.
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and closed-toe shoes work best for all three activities. For quad biking, long trousers are preferable to shorts. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen — the Palmeraie has little shade outside the palm groves themselves, especially around midday.
