From 7 years old. Children that age ride their own smaller quad rather than sitting behind an adult, a guide stays with them and leads the whole way, and a helmet is provided and worn. Under 7, the pony tour is the one to book instead.

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and closed-toe shoes work best for all three activities. For quad biking, long trousers are preferable to shorts. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen — the Palmeraie has little shade outside the palm groves themselves, especially around midday.

On site, the quad tour runs about 2 hours, the camel trek about 2 hours and the pony ride about 1 hour. The combos take longer: quad and camel about 3 hours, camel and pony about 3 hours, pony and quad about 3 hours. Add roughly 20-30 minutes total for hotel pickup and drop-off, so plan for around 1.5 to 3.5 hours from leaving your hotel to returning.

Tours run in most weather; the palm groves offer genuine shade, which helps in summer heat, and we can move your booking to an early morning or sunset slot to avoid the hottest hours. In the rare case of heavy rain, we'll contact you to reschedule rather than run an unsafe route.

Morning tours are cooler and quieter, which suits families and summer visits. Sunset departures are our most requested slot for the light and the temperature, especially in spring and autumn. Either works year-round — it mostly comes down to what else is on your Marrakech itinerary that day.
